On May 15th When the group of explorers Arrived Nearly 2/3 of the People on board were sick dead or mute. When they got to virginia they started to unpack and small shelters. They were living in the wet swampy and deep water off the peninsula of virginia known as jamestown. The deep water made it easy to navigate through the land. The claim the best part about having the deep water is that there were no Virginia Indian Tribes present. In addition to the swampy areas the Settlers Arrived to late to grow crops.

In 1608 Supplies and experts Arrived From poland and germany to assist the sick and dead. Many of Gentlemen there were un-used to work and therefore died in the starvation time of 1609-1610. When Captain John Smith had to return to the England due a failure in the trading expedition, Caption George Percy took over and Led the colony through what was know as the Starving Time. On June 10, 1610 settlers Got intercepted with a supply mission from london by "Lord De La Warr" who had brought much needed supplys for the settlers. The State of delaware Eventually Got its Name from "Lord de la Warr".
On the 19 of December, 1606, we set sail from Blackwall, but by unprosperous winds, were kept six weeks in the sight of England; all which time, Master Hunt our preacher, was so weak and sick, that few expected his recovery.
